High Pressure Ridge
We've spent the last 3 nights hiding out from predicted gale force NW winds with our good friends from Seattle Greg and Nicole on Baraka. We chose a good place to hide and didn't see much wind at all and since it's a high pressure ridge, not a low pressure system, the weather has been sunny and gorgeous. It's difficult to feel good about hiding out from a "storm" when the weather seems so nice. We were feeling very itchy to go and when the weather sounded better on the radio this morning we decided to make a break for it. We stopped in Shearwater for some internet access and so I've posted what we had for updates and we'll finish up when we get internet access again, because we are ready to make some miles!

Great blog - thanks for keeping us all up to date! Happy belated birthday Tor and Yare - great you had such a nice day, including a flat passage through Johnstone Strait. It looks like you're making good progress north based on your current SPOT location - closing in on Prince Rupert. Keep up the fun-factor - great early decision re: goal of the trip!
