What a big mileage day! Also, we broke through the 1000 mile mark, fantastic! It was a glorious day yesterday, just scooting along on a beam reach, all day, no adjustments to sails, wind vane or tiller needed. It was sunny but the breeze kept it cool. Perfect.
By the time it got dark last night the swell had increased and we had a pretty bumpy night. Bummer. The swell is still up, but we are at a better angle to it and are more comfortable. The boat being bumped around really impacts moods for both Tor and me. Morale was a bit low when we all woke up this morning, but I got a nap, Tor got some alone time on deck and we are all feeling more centered. I should say, the adults are feeling more centered, boys weren't really impacted in the first place. Happy as clams those two.
