Alaska Trip Day 89

9/10/11
Port McNeill, BC
Miles Travelled:  0

We decided to stay in Port McNeill for another day.  The winds were forecast to be 20-30 kts from the NW in Johnstone Strait and we just decided to stay put.  Odin waking up screaming at 5:50 this morning helped us to make that decision...that is never a good way to start the day, so it made it easier to just stay.

We put the time to good use and did more laundry, gave the boys showers, made phone calls, fueled the boat, visited with Ivan and Janet from Kittiwake, and hit up the grocery store for green bananas and block ice.  Pretty exciting!

Tomorrow we plan to head out into Johnstone Strait and make some miles towards Seymour Narrows.  We'll probably be travelling in the fog in the morning, but the winds aren't forecast to be as strong as they were forecast for today and we should have the tide with us.  We'll just have to see where we get.
