We are actually pointing NE! Can you believe it?! We are excited. We ended up taking a "day off" yesterday and just sailing with reefed mizzen and staysail doing 3 kts or less, letting the windvane steer us in the right direction. The boat motion was good, Tor got caught up on some sleep after our windy, windy night the night before, and we all enjoyed the boat not heeling. It was good to relax our bodies. Then after supper we put the main up and were off like a shot, at a COG of 20 degrees. A rest day was a good call for us.
From our weather models it looks as though we are close to the North Pacific High. Our barometer seems to agree. Crossing over that will be a milestone!
In other news, Lars and Odin feel well enough to finally have gotten the Lego out. We as parents now feel superfluous ;).
