35 and 5

Today the love of my life turned 35.  Today also marks the 5th anniversary since we launched our good little ship Yare.

Tor decided way back in 8th grade to build this boat, not just a boat, but THIS boat.  When I came on the scene Tor adapted his dream to include me (by this he added a head (toilet) to the plans :) ), and I gladly and excitedly took on the dream to build her with Tor.  It was a long road to get her built and as goal oriented people we made a goal to launch her for Tor's 30th birthday.  We did it and now we get to celebrate two milestones in one day.

In the past 5 years Yare has taken us to amazing places and taken very good care of us.  Happy birthday Yare.

I couldn't ask for a better partner in life, father for my children, skipper for my boat, or dreamer for our dreams.  I'm so glad I get to celebrate with you.  Happy birthday sweet Tor.

Gorgeous, glass smooth Johnstone Strait, weather ordered up especially for the birthday boy and birthday boat...though both the birthday boy and the birthday boat probably would have appreciated about 10 kts of wind for a lovely beam reach as the icing on their cake

The boys insisted that green was the color for decorating Papa's birthday cake!

Celebrating Tor and Yare, Happy Birthdays!
