A Very Special Birthday

Today Odin and Lars turned 6! How that happened so quickly, Tor and I can't figure out, but Lars and Odin are both thrilled.

We had a lovely day spent with our friends from S/V Asunto, they gave the boys a birthday geocaching adventure, complete with walkie talkies to keep. A huge hit for the boys to say the least. Then we all piled in the rental car we've had for the last couple of days and drove up to the summit of Haleakala. It was cloudy and wet while we were up there, so we couldn't see any of the crater, but Odin and Lars were able complete all requirements and are newly minted Junior Rangers for Haleakala National Park. They are so proud and excited.

Cruisers we've met along the way have been incredibly generous and thoughtful in remembering the boys' birthday. I love this community! The calls and emails from back home have been so great to receive all day. Basically I think the boys feel loved, and remembered on this special day. Thank you to all for spreading the love around!
