Update from Yare as if 3:47pm:
41 41.69 124 58.24. 37 miles due west of crescent city. Sailing in a steady 15kt tailwind on a broad reach with main and mizzen. A comfortable 4.5 knots. Planning on rounding Mendocino a bit after first light tomorrow. Glad to hear you made it to Inverness. Perhaps you can make contact with the boatyard in Marshall about a place to tie up. We will be in touch. Another 230 miles or so. Love tor ps more BIG whale sighting close in to the boat with the spray drifting downwind to cover our glasses!
