Grandma Jean and Grandpa Lee took Lars and Odin shopping for shoes this week, it was an outing for just the four of them (I stayed home and weeded the garden, sweet!). It's the first time they've been shopping for shoes since we've been able to rely on hand me downs up to this point. They had a blast, and it's so nice that they have shoes that fit well, and look good! Lars' feet are gigantic at a size 9C, in comparison, Odin is wearing size 6.5.
Nordstrom knows it's customers! Aquariums are the COOLEST!
Apparently Lars made it his mission to bring all the sample shoes over for inspection.
Odin's final choice...silver and blue Sauconys
Super fun!
Businesses that take kids into account are so wonderful!
Lars' final choice, blue and black Nikes.
Oh how fun! For both them, the grandparents and you! Shoes are going to be huge for your boys, we regularly buy Alex shoes not because he grows out of them anymore, but because he WARES them out! I finally broke down and got him three new pairs at once for now in aim to keep them acceptable for a while. Previously, his feet were growing so much that we would only buy one pair since he was likely to outgrow them in ~3 months. Good luck - it can get expensive!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet outing. I had no idea Nordstrom was so kid friendly.
ReplyDeleteYes! Nordys is great. I remember getting my shoes there as a kid and it was always so much fun. They would also do things like split 2 pairs of shoes if your feet were significantly different sizes. I don't know if they still do that, but they do care about fit.
DeleteYeah, Nordi's will still sell you a pair of shoes if you have two differnet size feet. They just mix them up for you. They will also sell one shoe too, for people who only have one foot. Pretty cool!!
